Roles and rights in Team plan

There are 3 types of roles in our Team version of KUKU.io: OwnerAdministrator, and Member.

Owner is a person who has purchased the Team version of KUKU.io. He is the one who should originally create a team and invite all the members to it. You can do it in the tab “Team” by sending each of its members an invitation to their email addresses. Owner also assigns the necessary rights to the members by granting them a certain role in the team (Administrator or Member). The owner can create and remove the channels for the team collaboration and invite or remove members from Team account. Only Owner has the permission to cancel the existing subscription or to upgrade the current version of the account.

Administrator can also manage channels, edit them, change the time of the publications in the auto posting calendar, assign and remove the members of the team, add and delete the social media networks profiles, groups and pages in team channels, create and delete the channels themselves. But Administrator can not delete the Owner of Team account, another active Administrator, upgrade the current account or cancel the existing Team subscription.

Member is assigned on the necessary Team channel by Owner or Administrator of the Team account with a granted role (Manager, Moderator, Contributor or Custom, where you can define the responsibilities and functions of this very Member in a channel).

About Social Media Analytics

How do we gather data from social media networks?

In order for us to start gathering data for analytics of your social media activities and publications we ask you for the permission to collect this data. We ask for the permissions for analytics to be granted to us either in the very start, when you create your account with us, or we send you the notification to grant us with the permissions later on. As soon as we get the permissions we start collecting all necessary data for your analytics. Gathering and processing of this data may take several minutes. So if you have just switched on the analytics feature, please allow some short time for the data to be processed.

Such data as the number of your followers for ex. is gathered only from the moment when you switch the analytics on. The data that is reflected with a dotted line represents approximate stats before the analytics was enabled. So we calculate it only roughly on the basis of the data that was gathered before the current moment.

In order to get the information on clicks by social networks and clicks by countries (these two stats are reflected by 2 charts in the bottom of analytics’ page) you need to have goo.gl shortening enabled for your links (you can switch it on in Settings). Goo.gl shortening for links allows us to track the number of clicks on your links in social networks, countries.

How does goo.gl’s link shortening work?

In KUKU.io you have an option of shortening the URLs of publications with the help of goo.gl to save the space. This comes very handy if you need to post and have limited number of characters required to be in a post. Let’s say you that you’d like to use an URL like this in your post:

http://www.topshop.com/en/tsuk/product/beauty-3326659/matte-lip-bullet-in-duvet-day-4772958?bi=0&ps=20

With the help of goo.gl you’ll get this one:

http://goo.gl/PCTTNF

But you’ll still be redirected to one and the same page.

Just keep the setting goo.gl ON in case you need this feature for your publications.

If you create posts and publish across multiple social media networks at roughly one and the same time you can create a posting schedule. This will allow you to create and automatically choose the preferred time for your posts instead of adding the time manually.posting schedule kuku.io

  • This looks really exciting. Currently I am with Hootsuite, but its not so user friendly and the training is long and quite dull!

You can’t post to Instagram from Hootsuite, you have to load up your message and then wait for a message and then manually post it. Is this the same with this product?

I am looking at several options for social media control and currently I really like the lay out of this one.

Need to spend some time reading the blog to see how helpful the material is for improving social media content.

Also there is co-schedule who operate as an all in marketing calendar.

coschedule – does the KUKU give you guidance on when to publish, schedule of messages and generally help you do better at your social outreach?

There is always the pain of having too much software of duplication of software so it is KUKU Vs. Co-schedule at the moment…

    • Amir Hossein Jahandideh

I have tried the trial version. Currently, you can NOT post on Instagram using KUKU. Yet you can sync your Instagram account for analytics, it shows the total amount of likes, posts, followers, etc.
I used it for Telegram and it works fine.

      • KUKU.io

        Hello :-)
Posting to Instagram is really a vital function for many users. We plan to launch Instagram posting in KUKU.io in several weeks.

    • KUKU.io

Thank you for your lovely feedback about us and your questions. And please accept my apologies for the late reply. (But they say it’s better late than never 😉

The ability to post to Instagram is prevented by their policy, but we are really looking for a good solution to this problem. By the way we’ll start the negotiation about posting to Instagram business accounts.

We are also currently designing new smart features that will allow you to detect the best time posting, reach and other very useful stats based on the metrics of your analytics :-)

      So please stay connected 😉

      • Martin Almazan

In the mean time, the Later (Latergram) way, which I guess is similar to Hootsuite from what Ian says, is an optimum workaround not to have to post to Instagram separately. The Later mobile app triggers the Instagram app with the image, and stores the post content in the paste buffer, so it is relatively straightforward, uncomplicated and fast, and certainly way better that having to do it from scratch on the phone

        • KUKU.io

          Martin,
          Thank you for your feedback!
Posting in Instagram will be available in a month so please stay connected 😉

          • Eugen Baryshnikau

Hi. Are there any updates on posting in Instagram? It is still not available.

          • KUKU.io

Hi! Thank you for your question!
We are working hard now on launching Instagram posting in KUKU.io but it will be available only in two-three weeks. Sorry for making you wait!
